Ikat is a dyeing technique from Southeast Asia used to pattern textiles that employs resist dyeing on the yarns prior to dyeing and weaving the fabric.
It was concentrated in three main areas – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Odisha, and these states too personalised to Ikat and made it their own
